Meal: 6:00-6:45 p.m. (CFC) (Meal served from mid-August to mid-May)
Worship Service: 7:00-8:00 p.m. (Sanctuary)

Hopefully this title will inspire you to expand your walk with God. We should be having Tuesday with God, Wednesday with God, Thursday...you get the idea!

Our "Mondays With God" has touched the lives of so many people! What a vision it took to bring this ministry to life, and isn’t it a blessing to see how it's evolved! But more importantly, the impact that it has had on souls who may never have come to a “traditional” Sunday morning service.

Please invite your friends and family to be a part of this casual Worship Service. There is always a free, light meal served prior to the service and the chance to hang out with others who love the Lord.

New Adult Sunday School Class
This is a great NEW opportunity! A NEW Adult Sunday School class starts Sunday, April 21st at 10:15 a.m. in the CFC! It will be held the 1st and 3rd Sunday each month! This is open to all adults! Just bring your bible and be ready to learn! Fred Schnarr will be leading the class. We will start with the book of John.
Bible Studies This Week
THIS WEEK APRIL 21-27

MEN - The Tuesday Morning Men's Bible Study meets every week at 5:30 a.m. This is a group of men of all ages who gather weekly for Bible study and prayer in our CFC.

EVERYONE - The Tuesday Night Bible Study meets at 7:00 p.m (Except for the 1st Tuesday of the month) This is a group of of all ages who gather for Bible study and prayer in our Welcome Center. Right now we're studying the book of Revelation.

WOMEN - The Wednesday morning Bible Study meets at 9:00-10:30 a.m. at EVPL West on Franklin Street. This group is studying the book, "Finding I Am" by Lysa Terkeurst.

Also this week the Women's Evening Study "The Chosen", season 2 is meeting both Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 5:30-7:00 p.m. in the basement of St. James West.
2024 Chicks 'n' Chocolate
The deadline to RSVP is Sunday, April 28th! Invite your girlfriends, ladies and girls in your family and come out for a special day (Sunday, May 5th) at St. Jame West! It’s a free event, including a light lunch, a bit of entertainment, and CHOCOLATE. We just need your reservation so we have enough food/chocolate! Please sign up in the Welcome Center by April 28th.

Benevolence Fund to Honor Rev. Backes
Several groups have approached the Church Leadership asking how St. James West can honor our Pastor, Gene, on his recent ordination. Gene's preference is that anyone wishing to honor his ordination make a donation to the church and indicate that it is for the Helping Hands Fund (this is the church's benevolence fund). Helping others in need is a ministry that is very dear to Gene and demonstrates his compassionate heart. You can also indicate that the gift is being given in honor of our Pastor on your check or online payment.
Women's Wednesday morning Bible Study-Finding I Am
Women’s Wednesday morning Spring Bible Study on “Finding I Am“ (TerKeurst, 2017) Facilitated by Susan Young

What is the deep cry of your heart? The ache in your soul just waiting to be fulfilled? The prayer you keep repeating without end? Jesus not only cares about this deep, spiritual wrestling, but He also wants to step in and see you through it. Join Lysa TerKeurst on the streets of Israel to explore the I AM statements of Jesus found in the Gospel of John, ultimately trading feelings of emptiness and depletion for the fullness of knowing who Jesus is in this in-depth Bible study.

This is a 6-week Bible study. It will meet Wednesday mornings at EVPL West Library on Franklin Street from 9:00 – 10:30 am. Meeting Dates: 4/17, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, and 5/22.

The study guide can be purchased through Amazon for $23. It includes a link to the videos for each week.
Women's Evening Study - The Chosen (series two)
“The Chosen” is a fresh look at the Gospels for those who have been reading the stories for years or for those who are just curious about who Jesus is and was. It is a television series about the life of Christ, as witnessed through the eyes of those He impacted.

“The Chosen” stays faithful to the Gospels and at the same time tells us a story that is in between the lines of scripture. This series brings to life those people that are mentioned in the Bible, using the historical context of life at the time of Jesus. The series does not contradict scripture, but instead puts life around it so that we as viewers can imagine, “What was life like with Jesus?” It really could have been this way.

Season 2 starts just as Christ and the first few apostles were leaving for Samaria and ends just at the beginning of his famous Sermon on the Mount speech that has gone on to be one of the centerpieces of his ministry. Throughout the season, the show addresses multiple major events in the life of Christ, from a retelling of the parable of the lost sheep to depicting Christ casting out the demon Legion from a possessed man.

Each week we will watch the video together and have discussion afterwards. There is no book to purchase for this study.

There are 8 sessions in this season. We will meet on Wednesday (W) or Thursday (Th) evenings at St James West in the Basement from 5:30pm – 7:00pm.
Dates: W-4/17, W-4/24, Th-4/25, Th-5/2, Th-5/9, W-5/15, Th-5/23 and Th-5/30. We'd love to see you there!
